Marquis Hawkins PhD

Assistant Professor

My research aims to advance maternal health by improving our understanding of how sleep and sleep‑related behaviors influence well‑being during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I work to develop and test novel interventions that promote healthy sleep throughout the perinatal experience, integrating epidemiological methods, causal inference, clinical research approaches, human‑centered design, and community‑engaged research. My work is driven by a commitment to generating evidence‑based solutions that optimize the health trajectories of mothers and their families across generations.
