Congratulations to Barb Kucinski, winner of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology's (STP) annual Mentorship of Teacher's Award!

We all know how much Barb has contributed to the education of future psychology instructors, now the world knows too!

Here is the official announcement from STP:

Please help us celebrate this year’s recipient of STP’s Mentorship of Teachers Award: Dr. Barbara Kucinski, Ph.D., a Teaching Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2008, she has mentored 20–30 students annually, earning a reputation as an “irreplaceable mentor” who offers both practical teaching strategies and personal support, including during the COVID-19 shift to remote learning. She developed the highly regarded Teaching of Psychology course and models a philosophy of empowerment, independence, and lifelong learning. Colleagues credit her with elevating psychology education at the University of Pittsburgh and influencing the field nationwide as her protégés become faculty across the country.
