Graduation Celebration - Spring 2024

The Psychology Department will host a celebratory reception for candidates on Friday, April 26th (late afternoon; exact time TBD). December 2023 graduates and August 2024 candidates are invited to attend. This is not a formal graduation ceremony, but a reception with food and music where you and your family can celebrate with faculty and other students. Invitations and updates will be sent via your Pitt email as they are available.

The University will host an undergraduate commencement ceremony on Sunday, April 28th. This is a traditional cap-and-gown ceremony with names announced as students walk across stage. Information can be found here: Please email for more information.

Graduation: Graduation is an academic matter and requires completion of at least 120 total credits, all general education requirements, and all major requirements.

Celebrations: Graduation celebrations are voluntary. Your participation does not confirm or fulfill the academic criteria needed to officially graduate.
