Registration
See Your Advisor to Register
You will need to meet with your advisor every time you register. With nearly 900 majors to register in just a few weeks, registration is a busy time in our office. Registration appointments are generally only 20 minutes long and are scheduled back-to-back. Therefore, you must come prepared.
If you have questions about requirements and/or registration, you should plan to meet with an advisor prior to the week before registration appointments begin.
Make a Pre-Registration Appointment
We do not require you to make a pre-registration appointment in the psychology department. However, because we expect you to come to your registration appointment prepared, a pre-registration appointment is a good opportunity for you to assess what requirements you have left to fulfill before graduation. This is especially true for graduating seniors who need to be completely prepared for graduation.
Course planning means more than choosing classes for the next term. Talking with an advisor will help you explore options and determine what you can do outside of the classroom to make yourself a strong job or graduate school candidate.
How to Register
- Sign-up for a registration appointment. Sign-up sheets are posted in the Psychology Advising Office (3117 SENSQ), dates for sign-up's will be announced on the website, the weekly announcements, and the advising office calendar.
- Pick up a registration procedures sheet and trial schedule when you sign up for your registration appointment. The registration procedure sheet has important registration guidelines. The trial schedule is a helpful tool in creating your schedule and including alternate courses. It is extremely important that you come to your registration appointment with at least one schedule and plenty of alternate courses.
- Be on time and prepared for registration.
