The Psychology Major
The undergraduate psychology major introduces students to a breadth of psychological topics, including the biological, social, and environmental influences on human behavior. As a department in the natural sciences, it also focuses on developing strong research and analytic skills.
The department encourages students to complement their coursework with experiential learning opportunities, such as directed research and internships, to prepare themselves for a variety of career and graduate school paths.
All psychology majors are automatically enrolled in the general major track. This track provides students with a broad background in psychology and a firm understanding of the scientific method.
We offer two additional options for undergraduates:

Individualized mentoring is provided for students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
