The Psychology department is thrilled to be hosting an intimate and informal opportunity for students and families to have meaningful conversations and reminisce with faculty and staff in the department. We want to celebrate all your accomplishments and are pleased to be able to offer a more personalized way to honor Psychology graduates and the people who’ve supported them along the way for an evening of community and hospitality. This additional, informal gathering is not—and never has been—an official graduation ceremony. Rather, it is a joyful Senior Sendoff that serves as a wonderful complement to Commencement.
The University will hold its official Commencement ceremony for all undergraduates on Sunday, April 30 at 1 p.m. in the Petersen Events Center. This event includes each student’s name being called as they walk across the stage and are greeted by John Twyning, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and the College of General Studies, and Dean Kathleen Blee. Chancellor Patrick Gallagher, Provost Ann Cudd, members of the University’s Board of Trustees, and other dignitaries will participate in this formal occasion. The University’s Commencement will be both live streamed and recorded so that anyone unable to attend may view it at their convenience.
