Description of Research:
The aim of the PARIS study is to test for early signals of inattention detectible in infants at familial risk for ADHD. This study will assess attention and behavior of infants 6-10 months of age and their parents.
Duties of Students: Students will assist with subject recruitment, data management, and assist with study in the participant’s home (parent-infant interactions). They will attend biweekly journal club and research meetings. They will also have exposure to additional research conducted in the lab and will learn about ADHD assessments for adults.
Requirements:
- Students must complete the following prerequisites before the start of PSY 1903*:
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- 12 credits of Psychology (including current term)
- STAT 0200/1000/1100- Statistics
- PSY 0035- Research Methods in Psychology
Additional Requirements:
- Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Comfortable working with infants/young children
- Some weekend and evening availability
- Willing to travel with research staff and clinicians to participant’s home
